What songs do you think tell a fitting story about Kai?
Oh heck, that's a question for the ages. Um there might be a few.

Come with Me - Puff Daddy (Godzilla 1998) - Kind of reflects his protective side
Call to Arms which would follow on to From Yesterday - 30 seconds to Mars - His dedication to the cause
Heroes - David Bowie - How he feels about himself & his squadron mates
Your Song or The One - Elton John - reflects his feelings for Bristol
My Way - Frank Sinatra -Kai's parting song (THE FEELS BRO)

Third reply,

Man, DA doesn't like it when you write a ton of stuff in replies.
That was all supposed to be in one,
but it broke so bad, It wouldn't let me edit it, or even shorten it,
which made no sense.

So I had to copy past half into a new reply,
and the other half into another reply.

Then this reply to explain what happened.

Sorry for the mess.
DA doesn't like novel replies xD

Call to Arms was by 30 Seconds to Mars

Yea Heroes lyrics aren't 100% for Kai/Bristol. Maybe it reflects more on his relationship with Colgate (more accurate) hahaha You could make a timeline based on the songs chosen but there would have to be more c:

Songs are good depending on the situation. Take into account different periods and the music fits. Kai's departure from home, his training, initial combat/battles, becoming squadron leader, losing friends in attacks, love/conflicts/personal uncertainty etc

It could go on forever

"Of Monsters and Men - Little Talks",
www.youtube.com/watch?v=IY8rOS…
Between Swordread and Saphira,
from child-hood all the way up to the undead Lanceor fight.

Saphira grew up with physical and mental disabilities,
she was hyper and bubbly in personality, hurt herself a lot on accident.
Would slip into short-term comas on occasion,
Luna and the Dreamers found her conscious wondering freely in the Dream Realms,
and trained her to be a Dream Weaver, it was her talent,
and she became very powerful with Dream and Illusion magic.
Eventually she reached the rank of Wish Master, leader of the Dreamers,
the first one in the last millennia, and only the 2nd one ever.

Saphira only knew Lanceor a very short while as a kid before his end,
and she helped Destrier figure out how to cure Lanceor of his curse.
The curse is anchored between the Dream and Soul Realms,
Saphira the Wish Master, the Dream Walker,
and Destrier and Grandmaster Healer, and Life giver.

Saphira and Destrier had to do a link Dream chain into undead Lanceor's subconscious,
travel from Dream-Scape to Astral-Plane, find his soul and unbind it from the curse.
He wouldn't just let them though, so the whole team was assembled.
Since Destrier, the main healer, had to go into the Dream-Scape with Saphira,
they didn't have his healing protection at first, so everyone was there.
They fought undead Lanceor in teams, when someone was too injured they'd be replaced with someone else.
Randy and the other healers would be out of the fight, tending to the wounded.

But thanks to Lionmane when Lanceor first came to town,
he was greatly weakened.
When Lanceor approached the FnF,
(him and some undead where attacking the town)
Lionmane turned on some music, had everyone act normal,
and greeted Lanceor with open arms, Lanceor with immense willpower,
(his highest stat)
was able to take some control, and Lionmane brought him to his usual table,
served him his usual drink and a menu.
While Lanceor was looking over the menu,
Lionmane had the civilians quietly leave the building,
through a secret underground tunnel,
(which he didn't want the civilians knowing about, but it was the only option now)
Lionmane brought him his order, reminisced a bit,
then took the blue orb and shoved it into the hole in his forehead while he was distracted.
The orb absorbed a great deal of magical power, for a short while Lanceor couldn't use magic,
but the blue orb eventually exploded.
That green orb with blue metal parts the Artificers are putting together in the Christmas picture,
is the same orb.

The building was destroyed, and Lionmane is not seen from then on.
(you can choose his fate sense he's your character)
The orb was given to Lionmane as a counter in-case Necromancers came back to town with the Witching Urn.
Lionmane in my story is an unofficial member of the Knights, a member of the Stealth Force,
explaining the secret tunnel in the basement.

Swordread is the first to attack Lanceor, and he remains fighting for the entirety,
the dagger Javalaina and RunnerLeaser made for him acts as an anti-magic shield,
the large diamond in the guard emits a force-field against all forms of harmful energy.
(including heat/fire, Lanceor's primary offensive magic)
When the curse bond is broken, Lanceor strikes Swordread down,
but before he can get the final hit, Goldaina appears in front of him,
the curse prevented her from appearing before him, he pauses, reaches for her,
as memories of her flood into his mind.

When Saphira, Destrier and the Deamers found Lanceor's soul,
Destrier needed to use his Grandmastery of the White Mist to break the anchors holding him in place,
and destroy the cursed version of him fighting with him.
After Destrier was no longer needed, they woke him up.

Destrier wakes up, runs to Swordread, heals him, and the others,
Destrier makes a white mist blade,
(a magic sword made up of the white healing mist, very lethal to undead)
and he and Swordead charge Lanceor,
the Dagger shielding them from the intense heat that is melting and burning things around Lanceor,
and impale him with the white mist blade.

Saphira and other Dreamers during, carry Lanceor's soul,
to the Astral stairs, where the Death Keepers wait, (like the White Mare)
a horde of white/red and black/green Forest Clan wraiths swarm them,
but Saphira was taught the White Healing Mist from Destrier,
which is pretty much the only thing that can kill them, so they aren't defenseless.
They climb the stairs, and throw Lanceor's soul into the portal,
permanently freeing him from the curse.

Lanceor looks them him the face, keels onto them,
and hugs them, as his body burns away to ash and chard bone.
"My... sons..."
(Destrier isn't a biological son, but after his father died, and mother went comatose,)
(Lanceor adopted him and raised him as his own)

"Portugal. The Man - Live In The Moment"
www.youtube.com/watch?v=327upE…
Fits moments of Lanceor's life well,
"My home, is a girl with with eyes like wishing wells" his mother.
He was the youngest of 5 sons, and 2 daughters.
Lanceor is the son of Calaburn, the King of old Canterlot before Discord took control,
which he had to live through.

"My home, is a girl who can't wait for time to tell" Goldaina his wife.

"your family, swingeing from the branches of a tree"
Lanceor's parents and siblings sided,
with Celestia during the rebellion, as did he.
Lanceor has to fight his best friend, son, and wife, who where Lunar,
but they defect after they see Nightmare Moon for the monster she is.
The Captain of the Lunar Knights of Loyalty at the time though,
the greatest warrior of them,
even though a dear friend, almost kills Lanceor,
but Swordread betrays his Captain allowing Lanceor to win.

The first echoy "farewell" is when Goldaina dies protecting them, and baby Javalaina who accidentally teleported to Swordread,
when she magically felt/heard he was injured.

Between then and the next echoy "farewell",
a flash forward of Lanceors life, up to undead fight.
The 2nd echoy farewell with when ghost Goldaina,
appears before undead Lanceor.

"Shinedown - Get Up"
www.youtube.com/watch?v=2hbqY9…
Fits well with the setup to the fight, and the fight it'self,
with flash backs throughout.

Destrier to Swordread: "Get up!"

"Ain't nothing normal when it comes to you and me"
Lanceor and Destrier but have their own supernatural curses to deal with.

"get up, get a move on, get up, ain't nothing wrong."
Destrier struggles to find a cure for the curse,
which gets worse, he hides it, acts like nothing's wrong.

Lanceor to Destrier: "You can do much better."

~

"Of Monsters and Men - Silhouettes",
www.youtube.com/watch?v=WPJplM…
is a continuation after that fight, about Saphira's pursuit of Narasky,
and her struggles with increasingly problematic physical problems.
She goes comatose for a long while,
but is able to subconsciously create an illusion of herself,
which she uses to live in reality,
allowing herself to be pretty much anywhere at any time,
and in more then one place at a time.

First reply,

I looked up and listened to the songs.

Except Call to Arms,
there are a few songs with that name,
which band's song?
~
Some of the lyrics threw me off, (for a moment)
but they definitely fit him from what I remember from the stories.
Parts of Heroes sounds like it's about a couple that fight a lot,
(remembered he had naughty interactions with some squad-mates,)
(I can see how that could cause fights)

Other parts make them sound unsure-of-themselves in the face of battle.
(might be how he feels on the inside, he's not shown it on the outside,
which is good in a leader)

Thinking up story stuff to Come with Me, The One,
and My Way gave me some good chills.
~~~~~~
Some songs that fit with my story stuff.
~
"Imagine Dragons - Monster"
www.youtube.com/watch?v=df_aTh…
Fits well with Lanceor's social and political struggles after getting cursed.
The curse is called, "Candle Corpse", Nekapra removed half of Lanceor's horn,
it is a candle, and when his horn burns away completely he becomes a monster.
His horn burns when he uses magic, and since his main magic is fire based,
it burns a tinny bit faster.
~
"Imagine Dragons - Demons (Boyce Avenue)"
www.youtube.com/watch?v=9DLtzc…
Lanceor and Goldaina after receiving the curse, and through the Lunar Rebellion.
Lanceor, a Solar Knight, Goldaina, a Lunar Magistrate/Judge.
Scars to your beautiful - Alessia Cara
www.youtube.com/watch?v=vWfjlI…
Fits Saphira's teen and young adult years.
When she was young, she was fat and crippled,
she was made fun of.
Used Illusions to make herself more beautiful.
Blueprint found her one day out of her illusions,
sickly skinny, metal braces on her legs allowing her to walk,
stress induced wrinkles, eye-bags, extremely ugly in her own opinion.
But she was still beautiful, Blueprint, and others help her see that.
